Questions deserve answers. I don't claim to have them all. I don't even claim to have asked them all. I'm not even convinced that they all need to be asked. Seven or eight hundred years can result in alot of questions, know what I mean?

Presently, I prefer to do my "broadcasting" and communications, the sewing of seeds, at this public forum. Odd how public it is, yet still provides for relative anonimity. Bjorn has apparently made s spot for a great opportunity here. Not sure how many individuals read and learn, or read and ask questions. Some read and respond/debate. Some read and move on. Some read and then ask questions here, or better yet, elsewhere. The questions need to be asked, and the answers need not to be taken at face value. With all questions, with all answers, and with all parties we seek and who seek us out, we must keep one thing in mind. We must not be confused (passively or by someone's deliberate manipulation) by the information overload of centuries of details. Remember the very root of the problem. Ireland has a foreign army on it's soil. A foreign government is exercising severe impact upon the Irish civilization, and has been for centuries. The core issue is not one of religion. That is a side-bar item. At this point, suffice it to say that Catholic versus Protestant is a paradox that happened by coincidence, not by design. It is NOT the central issue. There is only one. An inherent population (coincidentally happening to be a majority of Catholics) having been invaded by another population (coincidentally being Protestant). If the invaders all had blonde hair, we'd probably be having ongoing battles, right or wrong, with blondes. The water is murky, so don't try to swim through it and negotiate/navigate your way past every piece of sea weed and little fish. Get right to the very bottom of the ocean floor, if you want a true appreciation for what's truly significant.

Has your new web site been finished? Can it be accessed yet? Have you sought out the AOH (Ancient Order of Hibernians) in your area? Is there perhaps any other Irish-American society? Keep your ears perked, with the vague information that America has, even within Irish-American organizations, there may be Cath. v. Prod. issues already. You will truly have a mission. It's Ireland for the Irish, versus Ireland (and any part of it) for the British.

My thought is that in Ireland, many things have been and continue to be discussed/settled over a number of pints. In America, I don't think that culture would accept such a forum, and your effort may subsequently be handicapped if you perpetuate your thoughts and discussion in the local pubs. We need to be seen as bright, articulate, clean-cut and righteous. Hell, Paddy... no one could do that anywhere near as good as the Irish. Now is our time. Seek out groups, seek out guest speakers (screen them first). Dump the plastic Irish hats and the figurines of drunken leprechauns. Between our own perpetuation of such a perception, as well as the world's perception of us as being masked hoodlums, we have been self-defeating. That has to end.

The world hates terrorism and anything that even appears as terrorism. We don't need to go there. We need structured, recognized and organized support.

By the way, the Proclamation was created and posted on the GPO (General Post Office) when we took our stand and fought the Brits in 1916. A good number of formerly independent organizations came together for the battle.

Let us all know of your progress! Let us all know what issues you find and conquer! Let us all know how/when the website is ready! Many great links will be made available to you!

"The Reality", or "My Reality"?
Written by GalwayGaelic. (29/12-2002)
Prior to Christmas, I seemed to be going back and forth with someone about what was right and wrong, etc. Where was I from, when was the last time I had a drink on Falls Road, etc. Whatever, for what its worth, I thought I might clarify myself.

"Where we are" DIDn't come from the peace process, or any one individual or group. It didn't come because we laid down our arms. We are where we are because of centuries of unfolding and developments. How pompous to think we are where we are because of the comparitively recent developments which have permitted us to enter this phase!

Ours is a rebellion. OK, the fact is that this rebellion has been hundreds of years in the making, and that it has been violent. It has been war. The fact is that war is violent. War can end in stalemate (the inability and/or unwillingness of one side to dominate and conquer the other), or it can end with one side conquering the other. Physically violent and abhorrent wars have ended in the ultimate conquering of one side by another... since the very dawn of man. Sure, there have also been stalemates since that same dawn, however these are the exception.

Anyway, Our bloody war of rebellion over the invading military of a foreign government, which attempts to eliminate our way of life (cultural, governmental, political, economical, etc.) is seeing great progress. The fist and the firearm have played an integral and irreplaceable part in our progress. It has been a necessary stage in this evolution. It has been the foundation upon which we have been able to build the newest storey in our building. Unfortunately, it is not possible to build upon thin air. The foundation is a requiem. It is sheer ignorance and idealism to think that if we had not had the violent revolution, that the British would have volunteered to come to the table and settle up happily.

At this point, it's table-talk time, it's legal document time, it's tea and discussion time. We've used our hammer successfully (hell, most all our problems were correctly identified by being nails or sufficiently nail-like), and the solution WAS the hammer. Now, we craftsmen are being called upon to master and employ other tools at our bench. Yes, we need total peace at this stage. That is the environment within which we may be most successful at the table. To this end, we need to rally the support of the world. This is what I mean when I voice my concern for the world's perception of the Irish problem and the appearance of our efforts. We Irish can not stand alone at this point. Our side does not have enough "gravitas", it does not have enough ass to stand alone and come to the only peaceful agreement we want. We can dress it up and call it whatever will make it more palletable to the British, but we want them to peacefully withdraw their total presence from the 32 counties or Ireland, forever. They can take with them their culture, their tanks, their gas and all their supporters (whever they may have been born). With the complete education of the rest of the world (i.e., mostly America), we must gain their understanding and support. Britain must see this overwhelming support. This is the kind of weighty pressure which will push and motivate Britain into the agreements we need. They will not give us what we want, purely becuase it benefits US. They will only give us what we want if they see clearly that it benefits THEM to do so. Their standing and economic success in the world market is obviously crucial to them. We must tie the world's support to the Irish nation. The world will then help pressure Britain into making the right decisions.

DO NOT throw out the hammer! There is no telling, we may need it. We must not lose our expertise in this part of the craft! The Brits must not see that we no longer have the ability or the stomach to fight if needed. After the US virtually defeated Communist Russia, look what happened. They ceased research and development into their "Star Wars" program, thinking that they didn't need it any longer. They closed military bases across thier country. They shrunk down their covert intelligence operations throughout the world. After all, the enemy, which they had spent decades thinking about, was gone. Now, the US is learning that they should never have thrown out their hammer. They are reinstituting work on Star Wars. They will be employing a less-than fully functional version in a couple of years. Had they continued development earlier, it would be fully functional and in place, and they wouldn't now be worrying about Hussein or any other wildcard tossing a wild nuclear missile at them. Had they not thrown out their hammer, with respect to covert intelligence, they would have had a handle on Al Quaida and the other forms of rot growing in the mid-east... they would have likely squashed the WTC problem before it happened.

So, we go to the table. We dress nice. We share tea and courtesies. We acknowledge the peace in the north (but we sure as hell don't credit Britain for this peace, and we can't intelligently credit the peace for this peace!!). We amass support from the world (we need this big-time, and we need it now.... without it, our progress and the conessions of the Brits will prove to be limited and short-lived...AS THEIR AGREEMENTS ALWAYS HAVE BEEN). We must keep a strong hammer at the ready. Surely, we don't bring hammers to the table. We keep it in our pocket, with the handle showing. The other side sees this, and keeps it in mind at all times. My goodness, are we not all extremely conscious of THEIR hammer? Have we not seen what they are capable of, and do we not have horrific imaginations of what life will be like if they unleash their evils again in our country? The vile ugliness of war is the reason peace happens. Sorry, it doesn't happen because if feels good, or so we can all sit around the fire and sing a tune together. Each side has to respect the ability and willingness to go to war (with how terrible and undesirable it may be) to defend it's principles and it's people from invasion. To that end, we must remember how to do battle. In fact, we must know how to do awful and deadly things. We must know how to strike fear in the hearts of our enemies and it's people. War is a fucking disgusting and wicked thing. We must master it. We must make that mastery known.

We must send peaceful emisarries to the table (the first layer). They must also see a unified and strong population (the second layer). Our opposition at that table must see our fierce, effective and willing warriors standing at the ready behind our peaceful negotiators (the third layer). They must also see that the world is fully aware of the history and present conditions, and that the world stands behind us in support (the fourth layer). Each layer is as important as the other. Without any one of these layers, the ultimate conclusion will be less than what any of us want. It will result, ultimately, in a continued revolution, continued violence, and continued dominance of this foreign power in our country.

I do not acvocate war, I do not advocate peace. I advocate one country of 32 counties. I advocate the absence of the invading peoples of Britain in our country. I advocate the use of whatever tool or tools (appropriate to changing times and conditions) needed to do so. We must be a realistic, fully informed and cognizant people. We must agree on what our goal is. We must agree to the process. We must be ready for all possible eventualities. We must not be seen as a people's who can easily be caught with it's pants down.
does anyone know?
