| I've been reading all the postings. Unbelieveable. Every once in a while, there's a fella or two who try to keep you all on course. He continues to emplore you all to get rid of the argument over religion. First off, it's not what the original fight with the Brits was ever over. It's only tangent to the real issue, which was their occupation and smothering of our culture. It had nothing to do with what these people "PROTEST"ed (thus, Protestant) against the Catholic religion for. It has nothing to do with the Pope. If we Irish want freedom, we will never get it, if we are stupid enough to react with our balls instead of our brains. We'll never get support, we'll never be able to bring our effort to the world at large for any support. They won't support us if you keep acknowledging and stooping to the level of those who antagonize you about religion. They won't support you if you keep talking about kill this and kill that, this one is a wanker, that one is a cunt, etc. This is just ridiculous. You really need to carry on a conscious, intelligent, strategic attack. That attack is now at the table. It needs to be in the press. It needs to be mature, well thought out, planned and intelligent. Without that, the hope is lost. Ireland doesn't benefit and doesn't need such childish and unproductive B.S., here, on the net, or anywhere else for that matter. Wise up, help us. We don't need a screaming crowd, we need an intelligent and organized group, well spoken and well represented. Listen to people who can lead. Take their guidance. Take their hints. Saoirse, as many are stating, is not something that is easy, and it's not something that always is won in the gutter. |

| You are right. The fighting SHOULDNT be over religion. Many Irish people have forgotten that the REAL reason is because the "UNINVITED" Brits cant take a hint. Brian has made some very good points. Ryan has also. We dont care if you are an Atheist. We dont care if you are Catholic or Protestant. We dont care if you pray to a sacred cow. Your religious beleif is just that...YOUR BELEIF. That doesnt matter to us. What matters is that Ireland should have the choice of whether it wants to be Irish or English. Actually it should be put to a vote. That is what I am in the process of doing. Starting a petition to put it to vote. Once the Brits are out, Then, and only then can Ireland be as one. Long live Ireland Patrick |

| i don't belive in god, and sure i don't belive in the Pope. When u've seen the palace where he is living u would just kick his ass because all the money he has on his hands is all stolen. The church for me is like a hell who keeps people thoughts and their money. But that doesnt mean i dont like catholics, actually i live with them 'cause there no protestants in my country. Anyway u know that between protestants and catholics there no many differences. I love ireland and her glens. The people and the beer. And since i've been there i don't like british people at all ( i actually before i didn't like them either). But Religion should not be the reason of the fight. I know it's not of course, but u all just talk about it as is was the reason. the problem is between the people who feel irish or british, nothing else. What happens then with the people of the north like me, who dont have any god, and never had. |
