I think you're right.... just as the "conquerers" of the past centuries, the loyalists will become part of the Irish landscape. If they are that unhappy, they will move. There will be no more British soldiers, as the full Ireland will be it's own independent sovereigh country. Funny, but then any violence from loyalists will result in them RIGHTFULLY being labeled terrorists and outlaws. They will be hunted down and prosecuted by Irish law. They will be foreigners in Ireland, acting outside of the law, for the violent takeover of an established government. Fucking poetry, heh?
Anyway, when the day comes and Ireland is 32 again, I so badly want to stand in the country of my family's origins in this world. I want to hear the sounds, see the eyes, smell the land.... I want to breathe in the history and the souls of 800 years of struggle.... I want to choke back the tears as we raise a toast to the centuries of heroes of Ireland, both those who stayed and those who emigrated. Long live the Irish Character, long live the Irish people, and God bless and keep us.

See you later on Ryan... I've been bouncing in and around lately. For a bit, I spent some time on Patrick's site. I've gotten turned off though, as there is a certain "element" that I just have no stomach for. I think people need to be damned cautious as to who they permit to lead and who they follow. To get really simple about it, we need to follow leaders like that glorified by Mel Gibson as William Wallace. Movies and books always glamorize and s-t-r-e-t-c-h a little bit, but you get the feel for what I mean. Strength, character, directness, no personal agenda, no mixed messages, no hint of a possibility of anything slanted or dishonest. We don't gain by listening to some ego-driven intellectuals or people who want to take advantage of OUR momentum so as to fill their own void or to attain their own personal or political goals.
