The people of Ireland (there are 32 counties) should vote if they want Britain to own the north. If Ireland says no, they want to own the entire country, then so be it. If, at that point, northern Ireland wants to secede from the country, then they can put it before the Irish government (the one that will oversee the full 32 counties). If this new government wants to grant secession, then so be it. If the government (the people) does not want to grant the secession, then there will be a civil war within Ireland. That would be IRISH versus IRISH. The winner of that war would determine if there would be a secession. Then and only then, there will either be 1, complete and unified Ireland... OR there will be a legitimately named Northern Ireland, and (Southern?) Ireland.
Think about what I've written. Take it word for word, thought for thought. How can this be a bad idea? Seems like a logical, righteous step-by-step way to handle the issue.
Be serious, be level headed... doesn't this sound like the best and legal way to handle the problem? |
