You may not be French, but I see no difference beween Northern Ireland and Brittanny. The French posters on here should practice what they preach and try their best to get their government to give independence to Brittanny. I mean, fair's fair.

Oh, I see! Typical Frenchmen. Thinks that his country is so far superior to all others on the planet that he can come onto a discussion forum to tell everyone that he thinks that N.Ireland should be under Irish, whilst thinking that the French should rule Brittany.

I don't know what the fuck a LANKANOID is, but I know that you're just terrorist-loving, women-and-children-murderers loving little German runt who's continuously got his head inserted up his arse. |
ahem...*holds up little german flag* but i think that issue is't even worth discussin, it would come out to : "the english murdered Irish, the irish killed english...everybody had a share of killing, but do the irish have a right to kill to defend their independence? no they have not, nobody has,yes they have ,it's a nation's right to defend itself" and so on, you know the way such things go...
anyway, judging people by their nationality simply shows you are a stupid ignorant guy,no more,no less...

@ Patrick: You're welcome... It's evident to put such people on their place. I even couldn't bother discussing with him, it would have been futile, just a waste of time. His "argument" spoke for themselves... Just bloody ridiculous...
What about Bush?! Are you still surprised, Patrick? Remember last presidential elections you guys had in America? The loser became president, the candidate with the most votes was told to bugger of by repuclican dominated high-court. Problems with the vote-counting in the state where his brother is gouvernor? And EVEN no recount, what would seem obvious, evident and fair... Just to COUNT the votes was actually to much asked... They shouldn't hold any elections anymore in the States: Let the High court decide who is to be president. Such things would be held impossiple in the western world... Today it is possible in the biggest democratic country that the elected president is the candidate who lost...
Nothing surprises me anymore about the US, just absolutely nothing. The US: will of the people, will of "god"? Nowadays the US is only ruled by one thing: The will of money...
P.S. "Land of the free?! Who ever told you that is the enemy!" Pennywise > Americans about America...

Shadow,
being the only French poster I'll answer about Brittany. There is actually a huge difference between Northern Ireland and Brittany. I won't spend hours explaining it all to you as I don't think you'd understand. But first I believe the Bretons don't want their independence as much as the Irish do. Secondly, there's not such oppression. Corsica might be a better example than Brittany to prove your points. Except the Corsicans, I'm afraid to say so, are kind of hypocritical about it all. There are more mainland French willing to give them independence (about 70%) than Corsicans willing to get it (about 30%), according to surveys.
Now I must say I don't even give a damn about Corsica, Brittany or any other part of the world wanting to get independence. Ireland is the only place I care about, though I have my opinion about the others.

One night, George W. Bush is tossing restlessly in his White House bed. He awakens to see George Washington standing by him.
Bush asks him, "George, what's the best thing I can do to help the country?"
"Set an honest and honorable example, just as I did," Washington advises, and then fades away.
The next night, Bush is astir again, and sees the ghost of Thomas Jefferson moving through the darkened bedroom.
Bush calls out, "Tom, please! What is the best thing I can do to help the country?"
"Respect the Constitution, as I did," Jefferson advises, and dims from sight.
The third night sleep is still not in the cards for Bush. He awakens to see the ghost of F. D.R. hovering over his bed.
Bush whispers, "Franklin, What is the best thing I can do to help the country?"
"Help the less fortunate, just as I did," FDR replies and fades into the mists.
Bush isn't sleeping well the fourth night when he sees another figure moving in the shadows. It is the ghost of Abraham Lincoln.
Bush pleads, "Abe, what is the best thing I can do right now, to help the country?"
Abe replies, "Go see a play."

You already get enough breaks in your Texas ranch paid by fellow citizen's taxes... You're good in breaking records though! Highest state deficit ever, most workless people, most poor people, most tax cuts... for the rich. You made the USA now the most hated country in the world... You are the president who spent the most of his (stolen) legacy on his lazy bottom doing nothing... And so on, and so on... What a nice Curriculum Vitae you got, ol bushy...

I think we all agree that by now the American people should know better. After all, we all know the saying in Tennessee, well, Texas, but maybe also in Tennessee: "Fool me once, shame on shame on you. Fool me you can't get fooled again." Doesn't that just sum it up rather nicely?
Here's hoping the American people can't get fooled again.
