a little poem i wrote about the hunger strikers...we had to write a poem about a sujet of our choice and it had to have ten "new" words in it...so out of lack of anything interesting in MY life ( except for things which I wouldn't tell my teachers about ) , I wrote one about the Ten Brave Men
Refusal
When we refused to lie
About us, our genuine cause
For three days no food slid through
When we refused to lie
When we refused to speak
The judges did not listen
And they told us to confess
When we refused to speak
When we refused to learn
They chided us as traitors
And branded us as liars
When we refused to learn
When we refused to think
Not a single decent man
Came to explain our cause
When we refused to think
When we refused their tongue
And just spoke the ancient one
They raged at us with insults
When we refused their tongue
When we refused to hear
Came shallow propaganda
They tried to lure us back outside
When we refused to hear
When we refused to cry
Theyd beat us with their clubs
Torture us with cigrette stubs
When we refused to cry
When we refused to eat
Our whole families were sent
To bring us off our last way
That we had wished to go
When we refused acceptance
Of their inhumane rules
They carried us out of the Maze
We had refused to break
