A chairde!!!
Never - I insist, NEVER taste the shite that is called "Guinness made in Russia"... The Heiniken had bought the rights to brew and to cane it in St.Peterbourg... It's ugly! It's worse then any kind of local porters and the price is twice higher... It's a cryin' shame... |

Tss, what's all the fuss about?
In Belgium, it seems we're running out of Trappists because they're a hype in the USA! For 'once' I can perfectly understand them! After Westvleteren got elected best beer in the world on ratebeer.com, now Westmalle Tripel has got elected best beer by the The NY Times... For us Belgians that has always been evident of course... :D If you look at the NYT top ten, you'll see there are 8 Belgian beers in it... ;) Get the picture guys? :P Personally my top three is: 1. Westmalle; 2. Orval; 3. Chimay... So you romantisize about Guinness? lol  Taste a Belgian beer, Sean, you'll want nothing else! ;) |

I was born with a 12 year old bottle of jameson's under one arm and the doctor threw some Guinness at my mouth just as I was comming out to make sure I could breathe...I'll stick with that for life thanks!

(And to steal Guinness pints from the pubs is kind of a local sport.) |

QUOTE(Sean @ Sep 26 2005, 04:26 AM) QUOTE(Patrick @ Sep 26 2005, 04:20 AM) Well,.. a bit less then couple of dozens. We do not count irish coffe cups and whisky glasses, right? (And who knows how many pints were left after divorce 5 years ago!)  Seems Sean's visits to the pub are very 'fruitful'! QUOTE QUOTE(Patrick @ Sep 26 2005, 03:53 AM) As far as Belgian beer is concerned...... I like to spare my bowels a bit, thank you! ;) Kilkenny (Smithwicks) on the other hand... Anyway, taste our beers and you'll only confirm! I guess it's all a bit habits... Knowing my 'habits' are performed with the best 'goods' is really reassuring, not only for my bowels... B) |
