I once almost persuaded a friend of mine to get a tattoo of Bobby Sands on his arm, even though he isn't the slightest bit Republican. He was pissed drunk and all on for getting a tattoo (as you do when your pissed), but when we got him to the tattooist they wouldn't do it because he had drink on him. Something to do with thin blood being dangerous to draw.

I'll probably get a tattoo later this year, definately next year. Probably something celtic, nothing Republican.

Celtic crosses can be very detailed. Just finding the 'one' that suits you is the difficult part. :D I grew up about 65 miles from Milwaukee. The tatoo that I got is actually the 'logo' for Milwaukees 'IrishFest'(The largest festival in the mid-west). I might just get a cross for my left arm.(providing Cate wouldnt mind) <_<

I dont like tatoos unless they're needed for any magic or religios use...

but if I would have to choose a tatoo, I would choose the celtic animal drawing "an gabar" (correct me if I've written it not correctly)

Got lots of tattoos but only two Irish ones now. I have a leprechaun throwing a bomb with Fightin' Irish under it. My other is a 4 leaf clover (shamrock) on my right hand with my wifes initials in it.

I have pics but Im not sure how big they are or I'd post them.

 Up the 'RA

Im tempted to get a Shamrock with a Pint of Guinness under it. Not sure how'd it would look but it could work - My pal got Celtic symbols all up the top of his arm last week. I was going to get one with a Scottish flag on the left and an Irish flag at the right crossing each other i think that would also look cool.

Get the Ireland and German flag crossing over each other, I seen one with an Irish and Scottish and it looks really cool.

If I was to get a tattoo, surely I'd have a Celtic cross on my shoulder blade. But I'm not into tattoo so much. So I wear my celtic crosses and harp around my neck.
Irelands_son, if you want to, you can send them those pictures, I will resize them for you.

Aidan Meehan has written some books about celtic knotworks... you can receive them in every bookstore in germany.

I buyed one long time ago. My book has got an instruction for selfpainting celtic knotwork.

Here are two samples:

Celtic Design, : Keltische Flechtmuster, ISBN: 3-927940-47-X (celtic knotwork)
Celtic Design, : Der keltische Lebensbaum, ISBN: 3-927940-97-6 (celtic tree of life)
Celtic Design, : Drache und Greif, ISBN: 3-927940-98-4 (dragon and bird of prey )
Celtic Design, : Keltische Spiralmuster, ISBN: 3-927940-48-8 (celtic spiralsamples)
Celtic Design, : Keltische Buchstaben, 3-927940-67-4 (celtic letters)

You can find more information on www.buch.de, or something else.....
