... I don't know the name but I know some of the lyrics

I cannot sanctify, the reasons why,
In prison cells, in lonely hells
Our hunger strikers die.
Show me an englishman who starved until he died
Irish men have done it
With honour and with pride
Stand accused of murder
Their blood is on your hands
Of Francis Hughes and Ray McCreesh
Joe McDonnell, Bobby Sands

Thats all I remember and Im not sure if its right but does anyone know the song or where to find the lyrics?
Christophe

I think I've seen it named "The men of '81" as well, but I am not sure, I will check when I get my music hard disk back smile.gif

Wish you all the best,

you stand accused of murder, the men of '81

The mists of time will honour this, the year of 81
When ten brave gallant Irishmen, a hunger-strike begun,
You might as well have shot them like the men of Easter week,
You knew they wouldnt bend their knee, you knew they wouldnt break

You stand accused of murder their blood is on your hands,
Of Francis Hughes, Ray McCreesh, Joe McDonnell, Bobby Sands,
Martin Hurson, Kevin Lynch, Thomas McElwee,
Mickey Divine, Patsy OHara and Keiron Doherty.

Time will never sanctify the reasons why,
In prison cells, in lonely hells our hunger-strikers died
Show me an English man whod starve until he died,
But Irishmen have done it with honour and with pride.

800 years is far too long the time has come to leave,
Youve butchered and youve plundered, youve murdered and deceived,
But we promise we will never give up our human rights
To defend the men of 81 in their final lonely fight.

thats it as far as i know. great song!
