A 'super-sanger' is a large British army built base. It has a 'submarine' under the ground containing bunks, a gym and canteen, etc. for the troops stationed there for their tour of duty. Above the ground is the usual computers, cameras and associated watch tower paraphanalia. I believe their is one in South Armagh named after a dead Paratrooper.
You can see a picture of such a building at
http://irelandsown.net/CloseupXMG.jpgSeveral of these 'super-sangers' were built in one fell swoop in a massive operation called 'Operation Condor', whereby the Royal Marines / RIR closed the roads to the I.R.A., allowing the Brit's to built/rebuild their watchtowers, landing pads and 'sangars' without fear of attacks from the South Armagh Brigade.
Nonetheless, several weeks after they were built, mortars fired from the back of a lorry meant that the whole rebuild process had to be restarted again.
