I'm looking for the lyrics of Cailin na n Urla that was sang by Madra Rua and was in an album entitled "Sit down beside me". It's partly in English and partly in Irish. Here are some verses I've understood (very very few).

"if you don't ease my grief and grant me some relief"

"My heart is in the flame"

"If I had a thousand pounds"

Thanks

Seems like a rare song. I've got sweet fuck all to do in college, so I've been looking for the lyrics for this song for ages...it is nowhere on the net!

If you want to send it to me I'll give it a listen and see if I can make it out. I've no idea how you'd find the proper lyrics though...good luck!

Hi charlotte
I just found your message.
I sang the song on the Madra Rua album, so thought it would be just as well if I contacted you directly.
The group doesn't exist any more, but I have a website where you can contact me and I'll send you the lyrics to Cailin.
