Which one's that? Wasn't there two released for the anninversary, almost at exactly the same time? Think one was called "Bloody Sunday" and the other one called "Sunday". I saw both anyway, and the facts seemed ok to me Sean, what part did you think weren't accurate?
I thought the better one was the one with your man James Nesbitt in it, looked more realistic anyway...and most of the Bogside scenes were shot in Ballymun, Dublin, so bita home interest there for me!
How did you see it in Russia? Is it out there in the cinemas or video or something? Both were broadcast on TV here in Ireland and Britain.

No, I've ment that it looked terrible... Very close to Moscow October of 1993...

It was issued on video cassete as a "World Cinema Masterpiece" serie... A winner of Berlin Cinema Fest.
Fianna, can you tell me more about the second movie... You've called it "Sunday", right?

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same "Bloody Sunday". I don't remember it having anything to do with a TV report. This one was released in 2002, was directed by Paul Greengrass and starred James Nesbitt anyway. It looked amazing Sean! Really realistic.
The other one was "Sunday", and was shown the same week as "Bloody Sunday" as far as I remember. It's more of a TV-film, it was made by Channel 4, a Brit TV station. It was directed by Jimmy McGovern. Here's the site: http://www.sundayfilm.net
I've no idea how you'd get hold of it in Russia! But it'd be well worth it, just to compare the two.

This movie had a great success in France. Not in terms of number of places sold, but all the critics were calling it a masterpiece.
And I LOVED it.

In Germany the movie was a big deal as well....
Well like Sean said Berlin Cinema
Well I just saw a good movie too ... I don't know the name in English ... it's about a female journalist... who got murdered in 1996 ... it has something to do with the drug scene in Dublin... Well as I said can't remember the name in English on German it's called Die Journalistin

It's probably Veronica Guerin.
Haven't seen it myself. But from what I've seen (and it's the same story in every film about Irish criminals) all the ciminals are dressed in leather jackets. What is it with films and showing Irish ciminals in leather jackets?!? Anybody who's spent any amount of time in Dublin knows that the Irish criminal wears one outfit and one outfit only: the tracksuit!
