Ok my turn to ask for help
I am looking for lyrics to 'Tomorrow belongs to me' as sang by Shane McGowan on 'Best day of our lives' cd.......... I know it isnt Irish but someone knows it
Shane is just way beyond me in this one

Havn't heard Shane's version...
But here's the text from "Cabaret":
The sun on the meadow is summery warm
The stag in the forest runs free
But gathered together to greet the storm
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me
The branch on the linden is leafy and green
The Rhine gives its gold to the sea
But somewhere a glory awaits unseen
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me
The babe in his cradle is closing his eyes
The blossom embraces the bee
But soon says the whisper, arise, arise
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me
Chorus:
Now Fatherland, Fatherland, show us the sign
Your children have waited to see
The morning will come when the world is mine
Tomorrow belongs to me

Thanks Sean ......... but that isnt it. The song is on The ultimate Celtic Album and the CD 'Best day of our lives' which was out to celebrate the anniversary of the Lisbon Lions win.
I can make out some of the lines but the only 2 I know for sure are
As long as I belong to Glesgy
Tomorrow belongs to me
