Come on Noel! Don't let yourself being discouraged by those people! They're just a bunch of whiny cowards...
One day you'll walk in the streets with your children and explain them how it used to be in Ireland, when there were still still Union Jacks to be seen on the Isle.
Probably you'll still be able to show your children ONE Union Jack; the one at the British embassy...
Our day will come! More sooner then later!

A chairde,
Bout time I plugged the site...
Noel, what you did was right. The work you've done with Charlotte on the new site is testament to that. So to the rest of yous, instead of givin Noel a hard time over his stand, remember what Bobby Sands said:
"Everyone, Republican or otherwise has their own particular part to play.No part is too great or too small, no one is too old or too young to do something".
So do just that, join Unity Freedom Peace, and discuss with your comrades the way forward for Ireland and Irish Republicanism. Cause fuck knows you can't do it here!

Well, I must admit it's really a nice site, must have been a hell of a work (and ability, none in my case ).
How's that friends section working by the way? It constanltly saying it's downloading msn-chat, but I've got that already... Is it supposed to be a chat-place?

Would it be terribly bad form of me to inquire what exactly is going on? People's comments seem very excited and obviously there is something very dramatic going on, but nothing in these threads will tell me excatly what's happening...

Well, Salou, lovely place, perhaps it is, when there aren't that much "guiri's" ("frigobox-tourists") around... The place was infested by Dutch people, brrr... Didn't see much Spanish or Catalan people around, a pitty, but I can't really complain! I was there as a Belgian travel-guide for youngsters (15-18), I had a free appartment, free buffet in the hotel, I could drink for free in pub's and disco's frequented by our travel agency... So I can say I was one hell of a lucky bastard I only spent about 200€...
I'm thinking of going to Ireland in september, perhaps with Ryanair (Charleroi (Brussels-South) to Shannon). And how were they Canarian Isles?
It was f*cking hot around here, nearly 40C, not really used to that! I wonder how warm it is now approximately in Ireland?

Hh, well, in my case I can also state I more often enjoy the night than the day... I think you should indeed enjoy the day: the full 24 hours!! Here and then with the occasional drop of alcohol In all you bunch's case, a Guinness of course!
This moment I'd love to sit in the Ardennes at late evening in a little town near a river with a divine
Orval, the best trappist you can find!

Christophe, the weather is class here at the moment. Same as in the rest of Europe from what I hear, boilin outside...
...and then trust the foreigner to come in September when you'll freeze your balls off!
Then you'll return home, and when your friends and family ask you how Ireland was, you'll be sayin "Ah jaysus (cos you'll pick up a few phrases...), it was typical Irish weather, God was pissin down on the Irish like it was his own personal toilet! Don't ever go to Ireland, the weather's shite!".
I'm tellin you man, it's beautiful here now. Soak it up comrades while ye can!

About picking up a few phrases... I lived in Dublin for about three months last year and have been freaking friends and family with odd phrases ever since. They tell me it's quite confusing to hear something described as "good craic" in the middle of a Finnish sentence, and they're wondering why every other sentence starts with "ah, sure..."

It really starts to ennoy me, you know, not having been in Ireland for a year or more. I'm dying to go... As for the time of the year, September is good, not many tourists, not too expensive...
As for the weather in Ireland, I thought it wasn't that bad...
I'm a Belgian, so sure I can cope with some bad weather!!!
Oh, and Fianna, are you from Dublin or so? I'm thinking of going to Dublin or Shannon (cheap ticket Brussels-South, Charleroi to Shannon)... Last year my second studentsclub went for a weekend "boozing" to Dublin, but alas I couldn't join them, I only knew when they were already back, bad luck!
But this year I'm going for sure, a week or so, in a school holiday.
Would be nice of course if I (probably with a mate or so) would have a regional "guide" to tell me where to drink a nice drop o'Guinness!

Yeah I'm from Dublin. You have to visit Dublin.
Sure, you got a nice river and all that in Shannon, but we got just as good with the Liffey.
Yeah, it stinks, and you'll never see a living organism in it except for a few drunks every weekend, but that's why they call it a dirty ol' town.
And sure, I'll guide you to all the best drinking holes, piss walls and puke gutters!

Uuuh, don't forget the occasional bit of culture eh...
I thought the best way to socialize with the Irish in case you're a foreigner on visit for a week or so was a pub? I could be entirely wrong of course...
Trust me, if it would be for the boozing, I could as well stay home: I would be there for Ireland and the Irish in the first place!

Come on, you're not telling me Dublin is only "drinking holes, piss walls and puke gutter's" eh?! Sure Ireland's capital has more to offer
Or am I that wrong, I only went once for a weekend years ago, so...
I love the countryside (as I live there myself, now as student in the "big" city of Ghent) and Ireland has a wonderfull countryside, but I love visiting city's as well. So much to do, learn and discover!
Well, anyway, when I'll be graduated, I'll probably spend quite some time there: working there for a year or so, travelling a bit around Europe...
Dear me, Fianna, as an inhabitant of Dublin's fair city!

I was takin the piss Christophe, of course Dublin isn't just about that.
We have the GPO, the recently saved 16 Moorse Street (where the rebels of 1916 made their last stand, the Irish "Alamo"), Dublin Castle, The Four Courts (where the first shots of the Irish Civil War rang out...Mick using Brit artillery, but let's not get into that...again... ), Leinster House, Temple Bar (old cobblestoned Dublin...just don't go there if you hate punks and goths...), Kilmainham Jail, Garden of Rememberance, Christ Church...and that's just the city centre.
Anyway, this is turning into a dodgey travel advert for Dublin, so I'll stop.
And I like the countryside aswell Christophe, my Dads from Scotland but lived most of his life in Gweedore, Donegal, where I go alot. Donegal is as country as it gets.
Anyway, enough of that shit. Sln.
