You cite this song as "Traditional"
Surely this is wrong. The song was written by Jonathan Ledingham and was featured on the album "Twice Around The Houses" by Jonathan Kelly, released first in 1972 on RCA , then again in 2001 on a double album by BGO Records. The words actually appeared on the record cover

Many have performed and even recorded this song since without recognising or acknowledging it's originator.
Please credit this fine songwriter!!

Dia dhuit, a hEoinej!
Hello Eoinej!
Thanks for the comment and welcome to the forum.
I have also noticed some errata in the song credits.
I wrote to the admin, Bjorn (with a slashed "o", but that's not on my KB...) and he asked me if I wanted to be the lyrics editor for this site.
I agreed... and as soon as I have administrative access to the song database, I'll change the credits accordingly.
Btw. I think this is how such a Forum should work IMHO:
One posts a song, perhaps only the verses he knows...
...then people drop by and complete it or correct something.
...or hand in another lyrics version (As I did for "r, s do bheatha 'bhaile")
T m i ndchas go bheid thas ort ag lorg na amhrin agus ag scrobh sa form!
----//----
I hope that you have fun searching the songs and writing in the forum!

Well, actually I prefer a bench or a stool while playing bodhrn... or at least a place where I can reach my stout...
But thanks for the warm welcome here. I'll try my very best to satisfy all the change requests for the lyrics...
...and If I shall look after the one or the other section while
the regular moderator is away... I use to spend approx. 12-14 hrs a day with programming and stuff... That should leave me enough time to skip through the postings...
Bhuel, go n-ir an gceol libh, a chairde go leor 's a chuile duine eile...
Well, may the music rise up to meet you, my friends and everybody else...
Sln anois,
