Dia dhuit 2 all.
I have recently heard an alternate version of Foggy Dew, same track, different words. It starts off with the lyrics: - 'The sun did dawn, so grey and cold, on Derry's empty streets. Their valleys echo, one by one, the sound of marching feet. But not a soul did.... Sorry I can't give more. The song is a backing track 2 an 'upthera.net' video Entitled 'Irish Republican Media - Bloody Sunday' Can anyone help me as to the origns of this tune? Slainte in advance, CH. P.s. Tiocfaidh Ar La!!!! |

My favoutite is the one by Shebeen. I don't know this particular one you've mentioned. I'm wondering... I know several different performing of this song and most of them differ a bit in lyrics. Most often just one word replaced by another or something like that. So what is the most original version of this poem? which one? |
