Hey, this is my first post, so go easy.

I was wonderin if anyone could help me with gettin a list of songs regarding Derry City or County Derry, through out the struggle in Ireland. Looking to compile a list of all these songs. I have a few of the well known ones, Back Home in Derry, Sunday Bloody Sunday, and Londons Derry.

Any help would be greatly welcomed.

"Derry�s streets" is another song about the Bloody sunday.

The sun did dawn so grey and cold on Derry�s empty streets
The buildings echoed one by one to the sound of marching feet,
But not one soul did speak that day � not woman, man nor wean ,
Yet thirteen men will never walk on Derry�s streets again.

The people gathered suddenly to march to Gilmour Square
They came in peace to state their case among their own kind there,
But butchers waited there for them with bullet, blood and pain,
And thirteen men will never walk on Derry�s streets again.

The tramp of feet across the street was broken by the sound
Of armoured cars and rifle shots, and death was all around.
Some ran to tend the fallen men but by cowards they were slain
And thirteen men will never walk on Derry�s streets again.

Let England hang her head in shame now all the world can see,
The day there was a massacre they called a victory,
Let Ireland stand united now and speak our message plain,
That honest men may dare to walk on Derry�s streets again.

Christy Moore on his box set has a track called "Rialto Derry January 1993" where he recounts details of bloody sunday to a background of music in a commemoration in Rialto in Derry! Apparently these words recorded grew in to the song titled "Minds locked Shut" which is on the album "Graffiti Tongue" by Chirsty Moore! I dont know if this is any good to you but its worth a try

There are many songs which have been recorded over the years that pay testament to the sacrifice made by Derry and her fallen Volunteers ...Ethel Lynch, George and Pop, Willie and Danny, The Ultimate Sacrifice, to name but a few written and recorded by the fabulous Derry group Pangur Ban, who sadly called it a day at the height of their popularity in 1985.
