Well first of all : Hi to you all !
I've got a very big problem : I love The Dubliners, I can play the guitar quite well and I've got a friend who plays the piano and we'll learn how to play the tin whistle BUT : A friend of mine plays the violin quite well and I simply can't find any tabs/notation for the violin for Dubliner songs, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your stuff with me (if there is any :) ) yours paul |

Evil request, there. Tabs for the violin isn't that easy.. by what I know of it, they use sheet music since the tone settings on a violin are not indicated on the instrument itself and it's up to the musician to correct himself as he plays (with the due risk of beginners like myself playing off-key all the time), there wouldn't be an easy way to configure tabs I think.
However, the Dubliners d have songbooks. Now, I realize that these are never in the setting you want them to be, but with a little musical knowledge, transposing songs should be doable. |

Well I know I'm pretty late but I had severe internet problems over the last months =)
Thanks for your answer, but we dumped our fiddle player (nicely (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) 'cause she didn't really want to play Irish music at all (pretty weird but ok ...) yours paul |
