Na nD dhaoibh!
Ok, here's the first request ;) Yesterday we tried to figure out the chords to the Clannad version of "Siil A Rn", but we're still uncertain with one of them. Does anybody have the chords to this special version (they play a slightly different one than the one usually found on the internet)? Go raibh mle maith agaibh, Muireann |

Ehm... for the sake of those of us still trying to learn Gaeilge... I would ask for all post including Gaeilge to also include a translation into English... that way it's easier to know if I'm gettign things right or not without having to annoy everybody posting in Gaeilge for the translation (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) And aslo, people with no Gaeilge at all will look a little less puzzled when reading those posts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Wish you all the best, Keltic Banshee |

As requested: the translation of "Siil A Rn"
Siil, siil, siil a rn Siil go sochair agus siil go ciin Siil go doras agus alaigh liom Is go dt t mo mhirnn sln Go, go, go, oh love Go peacefully and go quiet Go to the door and fly with me And may you go safe my darling Literally, "siil" is "to go" though it is meant here as "come with me". Hope this helps, Muireann |

There are also two other translations. It depends on the tune you're using.
The other two are; Walk, walk, walk oh love, Swiftly Come to Me, Softly Move, Walk to the Door and Away We'll Flee, And Safe for I may my darling be. or; Come, Come, Come Oh Love, Come to me calmly, come to me quietly, Come to the door, and escape with me, And that you will be my only love safe. Roidsear provided the axact translation, which I'd preffer to use, but the two above are versions that a few Donegal band's have used. I preffer Clannad's though.
