Go on home British soldiers, go on home.
Have you got no fuckin' homes of your own ? For eight hundred years we've fought you without fear And we will fight you for eight hundred more. If you stay British soldiers, if you stay You will never ever beat the IRA The fourteen men in Derry are the last that you will bury So take a tip and leave us while you may. No, we're not British, we're not Saxon, we're not English We're Irish! and proud we are to be. So fuck your union jack we want our country back We want to see old Ireland free once more. Well we're fighting British soldiers for the cause We'll never bow to soldiers because Throughout our history we were born to be free So get out British soldiers, leave us be. HAIL HAIL CELTIC 2 RANGERS 1 CHAMPIONEES CHAMPIONEES OWAY OWAY OWAY |

Because it is an Irish team, you said it yourself, Tom : they don't consider themselves British and that's what you so much hate about them.

you should have more information before posting hen!!
stablished in 1888 by an Irish Priest, Father Walfrid (Christian Name Andrew Kerrins). Every irishman/women (Hate that i have to write it like this now, but equal rights you know!! ) should know that around this time, there was a massive potato famine that made millions and millions of Irishmen/women emigrate to other countries such as America, and the United Kingdome, some of them even died and didn't make it!! Now the imigrants that moved, had a very rough time and most of them continued to die as life elswhere as an outsider was difficult. In view of this, Father Walfrid (Irish) stablished a charitable organisation (Celtic FC) to raise funds for the poor immigrants (Irish). The name chosen 'Celtic' (real pronunciation 'Keltic') the badge, a Irish-lucky four-leaved clover, the colours green and white, and their flag (Irish tricolour) where chosen because of the Irish roots, cause, reason... etc. of the club. Same has to be said for 'Hibbernian' (Latin for Ireland), Irish harp, and green and white. Ever since Celtic was founded, they where hated by the Anti-Irish and Anti-Catholic scottish stablishment, and where never welcomed as a scottish team. Now having in mind, their roots, their reasons and their makers, wether you want to take it or not Glasgow Celtic and Edingbourgh Hibbernians are Irish Teams stablished outside. Surelly we never closed doors to non-Irish born Republicans, why can we not do the same with a football club. Yeah Go on home British Soldiers. Celtic are an Irish Team. Hail!! Hail!!! Tiocfaidh Ar La!!!! Here to help!! :D |

Tiocfaidh Ar La -- British go Home!!! |

Actually a large number of the team would- Hartson, Bellamy, Thomson Sutton etc would. McGeady would not- but he didn't get a game  |

No actually I meant the fact that you said they don't. But if you like to contradict yourself I have no objection. And by the way, a few players don't make the team. It's not because so many players in England are French that it makes their team French : their nationality lies in the heart of the supporters, not in the nationality of the player specially when you know that some English team(s) do not have a single English player.

Could you enlighten me please. Contradict meself- don't think so- still if I dod I will quote Emerson: QUOTE A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. Or perhaps I should go for the Whitman defence QUOTE Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large. I contain multitudes. Perhaps the mainh cause of my dislike of Celtic is not the majority of their fans, rather the neddish minority who, as I'm sure paddy would agree are vermin to whom the Irish cause is jist a bluidy good excuse for violence. |

Yeah agree, there are a lot of people that wear the celtic hoops and never been to parkhead and dont give a shit about the team. they simply shouldn't even be called supporters , (Unless you are a chick, I understand football and birds dont go, and the hoops look good on yous ;) ) Anyway, I would like to make another point!! Why are millions, (even thought there is not that much people in ireland  ) of Irish peple supporting teams like Man Utd and Arsenal, (chelsea now). Do you hate them too?? Football is about what is in your heart and not about location. So who cares if Celtic where to be a brittish team, I still love them  !! God help me, in the case of location, my team would have to be cliftonville   |

I pity them- glory hunters :( Football for me is all about community- the team I support was the team in the town of my birth. Irish Scottish etc fans supporting Man- Ure  QUOTE Should we, the faithfull and real celtic supporters, be punished for the actions of a couple of wankers?? Plainly not- the chaps at work wie Celtic season tickets are decent fellas. Though I do think that Celtic and Rangers are cursed wie a larger than expected percentage of Neds in thir support. |

(IMG:http://www.fifa.com/images/cms/fifa/fifa_logo_98_tb98.jpg) FIFA Officially the best in World Football. (IMG:http://www.fifa.com/images/cms/static/fp_logo.gif) and this one, a personal trophy that we the supporters (not the club) won. (IMG:http://www.fifa.com/images/cms/static/fairplay-trophy.jpg) we might not support real madrid or barcelona, but like us, ther is no sipporters in the world. FACT: Did you know that we (Celtic Supporters) where the first ever non-football club or player to win this trophy?? |
