Hi everybody,

I got the soundtrack of "Some Mother's Son" as a present for my birthday. I was listening to it the other day when I came across this short song. The lyrics are in the booklet that comes with the CD, but there's no translation, and I only manage to get a general idea of what the song means... As I said in another post, I'm working on my Irish, but it takes time :) So, if anyone can provide a translation, it will be greatly apreciated. The lyrics read as follows:

gnaigh ig
T m ag cailleadh mo scimhe
Chaill m mo radharc
Is n leir domsa gealach n gran
Is gur chaill m m fein
Seo pg is tanam ar shil

Thanks in advance,

Sln,

Without a dictionary at hand, this is what I can do now..

gnaigh ig
T m ag cailleadh mo scimhe
Chaill m mo radharc
Is n leir domsa gealach n gran
Is gur chaill m m fein
Seo pg is tanam ar shil

[...]
[...]
I lost my view
It is not [...] to me the moon or the sun
And that I loose myself
[...]

but I'll give it another try tomorrow...
...that is, when I'm awake again... ;)
