I know exactly how you feel. I've never even been to Ireland, and I feel the same way. It's the one place in this world that I want to visit more than anything! I want to go to the place where my ancestors were born and spent thier lives. I want to go and share my Irish heritage with people who know and understand. I want to be around people who aren't going to look at me as if I have 3 heads for loving Celtic music. Someday I'm gonna get there, and I dunno if I'm coming back :wub:

Finally! I am home!! :lol:

I unfortunately didn't get to spend St.Paddy's day with my family. I'm away at college and missed my favourite holiday with my family. Usually my whole family gets together and we celebrate all day long (and sometimes into several days :lol: ). My grandad makes Irish Stew, Haggis, cornbeef and cabbage and apple crumble. Of course the Guinness as well as other alcohol is always flowing. I'm usually in charge of music (since I'm the one who loves Celtic music the most), and I absolutely love it! We always have a fantastic time!

Instead this year I went out to the pub with some of my mates. I have met 6 lads from Scotland, and I went to the pub with them. They usually don't celebrate St. Paddy's day, but when they saw how disappointed I was over the fact that I couldn't get a ticket home, they all showed up at my house around noon told me that they were taking me out. It's great to have such fantastic mates. :D
