A few words from the new owner of The Celtic Lyrics Collection.
The transfer of the site will be completed within a month or so. Until then I've decided that the site should stay online but with a few changes.
First of all; Thanks to the moderators and administrators for what you have done for the site. I have choosen to remove the moderator level but keeping the administrators. This is just to reduce the number of members with moderating abilities. This is the only notice / message regarding this issue. The moderators will be placed in the Cairde group.
Cairde... Anyone with at least 30 posts will be a member of Cairde. Membership in the group should be based on friendship of the site, not political beliefs.
The future: Something will happen with this site but the plans are not public yet. They will be posted in the Cairde forum for feedback when ready.

this used to be a friendly little community and if Bjorn who is now a friend of us all is no longer the owner, sure we shall all like to know who is replacing him.

That's a nice start, also a nice first impression...
The future: Something will happen with this site but the plans are not public yet. They will be posted in the Cairde forum for feedback when ready.
As far as I remember this site is the fruit of hard work and collective ideas of the people who have for a long term resided in it, it would be a bad idea not to listen to them.

I dont remember if I have ever posted anything in the 'music corner' or the lyrics part. Most of my posts and replies have been in 'Speakers corner' or 'Cairde'. It seems with the new owner and the new rules, I wont have much to say or do in either section. What good is a moderator without moderating capabilities?

Perhaps it's a focus change? Get back to the lyrics / music focus that used to be... Less posts: Yes - Higher quality: Perhaps. I guess Janus will share the plans with us when they are ready :-)

Well I have not been here recently, but am glad to see it will still be up. So my first post is to thank all of you for helping this be somewhere to come back to. But I enjoyed reading the posts in the forums and hope that part stays. Will be a sore loss if not. At the end of the day we learn from others views and opinions...

Why has the memberlist been removed? Is that part of the new reorginization? There were people that I had still wanted to keep in touch with. How can I still do that?

The transition is now done so I'm finished with my job here. I guess I'll have an eye on the site from time to time as Janus is one of my hosting customer (he didn't want to switch provider).

I used to come on these boards all the time a few years back, i found it a great help when looking for song lyrics and the opinions shared on this very forum were very interesting. It appears something has changed and not a lot of people seem to posting anymore. Is the site still going to the same as it was?

The site is still up and running, as you can see. It recently changed hands and is now under new management, but the site is still (and, for what i know, will continue to be), a celtic lyrics site.

Not public information? That's really interesting. You brought all of us into this....yet your plans are not "public" Well, if your plans were as rude as you have been to long time members, no wonder you were not able to do what you wanted. Perhaps you should have looked into that before you took over and alienated those on this site. Don't mind me if I don't feel sorry for you.

The site will be continued. I'm in the middle of closing a deal with the new owner (UVF).

Well there is a new owner. The new owner guarantees that I can stay anonymous (not a problem as Bjorn has been the broker) and she will get the site for free.
Keltic Banshee is the new site owner and will do as she like with the site. I will withdraw from the site as of now.
