If only you would have been fair to open discussion and opinion, then this and the follow ups would never have hat to happen.

I hope you have learned from your mistakes.

If you had been fair then this wouldn't have happened. If you weren't allowed to post then nobody was? Hardly fair yourself.

Removed the insulting parts

I think its sad that we have ALL spent so much time and effort working on this only to be disrupted by a few arrogant and immature cowards. Hmmm, Divide and conquer... This has overtones of previous Irish struggles.

Hi!
I'm from Austria and I like this page very much. I like Irish folk, especially "The Dubliners" ph34r.gif

1. Ich spreng den Mast in Sdtirol,
Den Bahnhof von Trient,
Mein Rucksack ist mit Sprengstoff voll,
An dem die Lunte brennt,
Italien ist ein Flammenmeer,
Von Bozen bis Trient,
|: Und darum hat Italien Angst,
Vor Deutsch-Deutsch-Sdtirol. :|

Thats our fight!

A chara,

Hey Freiheit, good to have you here. Thats a German and an Austrian now, shouldn't be too long before we have every European country represented! Bit of a multi-cultural Irish board, which is good.

If you like the Dubliners, you should drink in my local, The Sheiling in Dublin! Ronnie Drew drinks there every friday night...

Alright, it ain't Ronnie Drew, but it's hard to tell the difference. He's the fuckin spit. And he belts out the rebel songs like nobodys business!

Anyways, welcome aboard.

Nice site. Why have you got palamilitary avatars though? Where does an English Roman Catholic with an Irish Ma fit into your little battle? Would I be be kneecapped by both sides in the name of the cause?

Sad.

Posted by: ChrisyBhoy Jun 24 2003, 11:41 AM

Kneecapped? nah. Nails pulled out with pliers? Thats more like it laugh.gif

And theres another thing that does my fucking head in.

Just because someone is a Roman Catholic doesn't mean they're for or against the cause! Religion does not define your side!!!

There have been many Protestant Republican heroes. William O'Brien, Meagher, Tone, MacSwiney(?)

Aye but family are Irish like. But I am English, thorugh no reason other than I was born here, but spend a lot of time in Killkenny visiting the family. So where do I stand in your hate list?

Posted by: GK Jun 24 2003, 12:27 PM

That above post was by me by the way.

Posted by: ChrisyBhoy Jun 24 2003, 01:35 PM

Just so you know, I dont HATE English people, Scottish people, Welsh people, Northern Irish people or anything.

I dont HATE British people.

I have a few cousins who were born in England. They consider themselves Irish.

I HATE the British governent. I hate the British police forces in Northern Ireland. I hate the British Army in Northern Ireland. I hate "The Crown" as a whole. The whole sovreign monarchy is a joke and a sham. I have nothing personal against the Queen, she might be a very nice lady for all I know. But she is just that, a random lady who gets to take tax-payers hard-earned money just because of the family she was born into.

Another thing about the monarchy being a joke and supposedly being the pillar of British society is the fact that her family is German. They're surname isn't Windsor, they changed it to Windsor from their German name, whatever that is. The Prince Phillip is a Greek.
The royal pillar of British society isn't even British. It's pathetic.

But I'm getting sidetracked.

I dont hate British citizens. I hate the British institution as a whole. After all the wrongs and injustice it has inflicted on the people of Ireland and Scotland.
Scotland now are on good terms and everything, doing well.
But the British still are fucking around with Northern Ireland and its doing my fucking nut in.

Fair enough like, and a decent post to boot. I would feel the same if I were in your shoes. From an Englishmens point of view (well if you count Newcastle as England), I hate being set upon by Republicans or on the receiving end of abuse in Scotland because of where I was born. The dispute had nowt to do with me personally and if these numnuts ever bothered to ask for my opinion they would find I am a Republican sympathiser. I can't bring myself to support the cause on either side however due to the loss of innocent lives inflicted by both parties. Yours may be the more understandable motives but killing of innocents to me is never a solution to any problem. Not in my own humblest opinion anyway.

That's why I asked about the palamilitary avatars.

Posted by: ChrisyBhoy Jun 24 2003, 08:03 PM

I dont agree with the civilians and inocent killings.

However, I do support the IRA in their tactical bombings of military and armed forces and their strongholds.

Posted by: Guest Jun 25 2003, 08:28 AM

Is it right that Sinn Fein is a communist (or socalist) party and the the IRA a marxistic organisation?
And how many members has the IRA? ph34r.gif

Posted by: Freiheit Jun 25 2003, 08:29 AM

sad.gif oh that was me, sorry

Posted by: Charlotte Jun 25 2003, 09:19 AM

There were some socialist links but it's not a socialist organisation nor communist nor marxist. It's a Republican and nationalist organisation. They're not trying to do the Revolution against social classes and all, they're trying to get the Irish Unity and Freedom.
